Halesowen Day Nursery

We pride ourselves on providing a happy, safe, inspiring and healthy environment for all children and their families, where trusting relationships are built and maintained with each other. We advocate a “working together” ethos to ensure the safeguarding of children is paramount. We are part of Dudley’s Good and Outstanding Network and the Halesowen Township Network which both promote and share excellent practice within the Borough.

What Makes
Us Special?

Family Run & Family Centred

We understand that in order to really care for our children we must care for their families too. We provide a wide range of opportunities for parents and families to learn and grow with us, such as parent workshops, parent forums, parents evenings and an open invitation to stay and play.

STEM

(Science, technology, engineering, maths)

STEM learning is all around us in the early years. We allow the awe and wonder of the children to flourish through open-ended, joint exploration, enhanced by our dedicated space for STEM learning ‘Discovery Zone’.

Process Focused Art

Through process focused artwork we provide children with a choice from a wide variety of techniques to express their creativity, with no predetermined outcome imposed by others.

Behaviour Management

We draw from the most current psychological research to inform our approach to challenging behaviour. All staff are trained in Emotion Coaching™. We understand that all behaviour is communication and that ‘to discipline’ means ‘to teach’. We strive to be curious about what children are communicating and nurture and support them to learn how to manage their big emotions.

Community Work

We foster positive Christian values and attitudes. Our children are involved in a variety of charity, sustainability and community projects through which they gain a deeper understanding of the world they live in and the important impact that they can have. Children have opportunities to learn about their wider community, a variety of cultures, celebrations, abilities and genders.

What Our
Parents Think…

I am so happy with Halesowen Day Nursery, I will be filling out my reservation form today for baby number two to get a place! Baby hasn’t even been born yet but we would be so disappointed if we didn’t get a space.

My daughter is 4 years old and in the preschool room. All the staff give off such a welcoming, caring vibe and this is why I feel so happy that my daughter attends this nursery.

They support her in her development and keep us informed on the daily pick up and through the online journal. I love having an insight into what she’s been up to each day.

We are absolutely thrilled with how our daughter has settled in at Halesowen Day Nursery. We were recommended by work colleagues and we are so happy with how she is getting on. She takes part in a wide range of activities each day and these are showcased on our ‘famly’ app

As a parent whose son started at Halesowen Day Nursery when he was two years old, and who is now in the Preschool group, I only have praise for every aspect of how the nursery is run.

The staff at the nursery are always friendly and approachable, even towards the end of the day! They have always listened when I needed to share information about my child and I feel that the nursery is a valuable extension of his upbringing.

Staff here have also been good at helping me or signposting me with information I have needed regarding my tax credits, they certainly go above and beyond to support not only the child but the family where needed.

Lisa

My son always loves going to nursery. From his comments I can tell he feels safe, secure, seen and soothed which is vital for children as they grow up, to enable their brains to develop properly and to enjoy their surroundings and learn well.

Sarah you have worked so hard at communicating with us as parents when we have had queries or sent in emails and for that Matt and I are very grateful, you have made us feel like our view are listened to and you are very honest with everything that happens.
